Mysore for Beginners

Level: Beginner

This self-practice focuses on posture (Asana), Breath (Ujjayi), and the Gazing Point (Dristhi), which are fundamental and important to all students working on their yoga practice. Eventually the student will be able to deepen their practice by mastering the total synchronization of their breath, awareness and movement together. In the Mysore class, students are encouraged to self-practice and may be given individual instructions and appropriate alignment and adjustments. Students will be guided through the Ashtanga primary sequence on an individual basis to allow the students to self-practice and progress at their own pace. Students are recommended to be familiar with the Ashtanga system.
